P4 adapters

I recently purchased 2x 2u power supplies and neither were p4 ready, which I didn't ask about. So I purchased one of the adapters for a p4 (4 tiny pins) plug that will simply plug into a standard molex plug. Are these adapters safe? I checked my voltages in the health and all were around the number they were supposed to be.

Also what voltage is that p4 plug? 12?

It should be okay just remember that older powersupplies focus most of their power on the 5v rail, whereas you'll need one with lots of power on the 12v rail. If it's working then it's probably enough.
