My system seems to hate me or something. I cannot play a game of Call of Duty or Doom 3 without the machine locking up. I believe it could be a cooling issue as right at this moment my idle temp is pretty damn high at 48 degrees C. I have no panels on my machine at all and the 'System" temp is 32 degrees. I am running the stock HSF from Intel on it. Am I just thinking wrong or is my CPU just running hotter than it needs to be?

mine is not a prescott, its a 3.0c Northwood I can run the BOINC Seti #home client all day long and it runs fine, Load Doom 3 or COD and crash! I originally thought it might be an audio issue which it very well may be but I would think it would happen more often like in other games..I guess its time to reformat, reseat the processor with some artic silver and see what happens..
