hi everyone, what temps do you get with a p4 3ghz ht 800fsb? i get 43 celsius idle, load 55-60 celsius!! the temps are taken from mbm5...are my temps too high? or is it normal. ive got a Medion Titanium MD 8080 XL PC from Aldi in Australia...it has a different cooler, rather exotic because it has its own duct, 80mm fan, toolfree hsf retention cage thingy (like those found on some server coolers-2 keylike clips/levers to hold hsf on cpu) btw it has variable speed fan thing. fan speed on idle is 2600-2700rpm, load is 3500-3600 rpm

They're pretty high, but not dangerously. You should be fine, unless you're going to overclock, although I doubt you'll overclock with the motherboards Medion uses in their computers (no locked PCI/AGP speeds).

Medions are great computers, aye? Me and my dad each got one for the Christmas before last. As far as prebuilts go, those things are great :D

Your temps are within the safe range, a little high but you shouldn't worry..

Those are sortof high for a P4 3g. Might want to remove that duct, I hear that those duct coolers arent that great. Might want to look into other HSF.

when i oc my 3c to 3.6 with my hsf running at 2400rpm, my temp is around 50-57c. u might want to get a better hsf.

with my 3.0c oc'ed to 3.6 im running load temp of 53 C I am using Thermalright SP-94. With a tornado running at 2000rpm.

hehe yeh i agree with u RS3RS!!! Medions are great computers esp. considering theyre prebuilt:) you and your dad are lucky!! they sell within minutes at Aldi, i managed 2 wag skool and get my hands on one :D wat do you mean by locked pci/agp speeds? i kno the Vcore is locked, as are the memory timings, bus frequency and a few other things :( oh well ill probably try mod the retention thing...take off current hsf, take the bracket off, buy a DFI LanParty, rip cage off that and mount it on, then fit a waterblock :D:D LanParty board...ill save that for a new rig coming :) i reckon my temps are too high, but a waterblock should help. just gotta wait til the warranty is over because they probably void my warranty for fitting a watercooler
