does anybody here have a 3.8ghz p4, will intel ever going to have a faster clock processor, or are we stuck on 3.8ghz forever? what's the future, dual processors? no more singles in the future?

Intel cancelled plans for a 4 Ghz processor that it had wanted to release earlier this year. So for the time being, the 3.8 will be the fastest, as Intel moves towards dual core solutions.

Also, next year, Pentium Ms will come to the desktop with Conroe, so the 4 Ghz is pretty much an afterthought for Intel right now.

I have a 570J 3.8GHZ intel, and yes it will be the fastest for some time.

I could see a 4GHz Cedar Mill (that's the netburst one right? Cedar Mill and Presler are Netburst IIRC...) possible with 65nm.
