Hi all, so I've been out of the OC loop for a while and now I'm assembling a new semi budget rig. I have some questions and I hope you can help.
Using this forum, I've pretty much come up with this setup:
Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L + E8400
Undecided brand 8800GTS G92
2x2GB 800mhz Kingston CL5 (Mixed experiences with ram in the past, always good with Kingston)
Antec Sonata III
Since I'll hopefully be running the E8400 at 4ghz, there is an issue with cooling the northbridge on the P35. My questions are:
Which (decent performance) CPU cooler will fit the Gigabyte card when there is a Thermalright HR-05 on the NB? I've been recommended a Thermal Take 120VX, but erm.. not a fan of Thermal Take. I like the Scythe Mugen
Would I possibly be better off getting a slightly more expensive motherboard with better onboard NB cooling? (Like a DS4 perhaps?)
Lastly, I've been told the stock cooler on the GTS'es are awesome compared to the ones on the GT - does this differ from brand to brand or is there like a reference nVIDIA cooler? I'll be overclocking this as well naturally
Thanks for your replies.
