P2P: From Scourge To Savior

Technology Review has a very good article posted today called P2P: From Internet Scourge to Savior. It is interesting to see how the industry went from suing peer-to-peer groups to eventually developing ways to use P2P technology for distribution of TV shows, games and other forms of entertainment.

The point is that even the sharpest innovators and entrepreneurs have often had a hard time seeing how the next hurdle in the Internet's growth would be overcome--only to be surprised by some new resource, technology, or business idea that emerges in the nick of time.
