1) If the bottom compartment is fully selaed off from the top.. what good is the fan in the middle doing? The PSU will suck air from inside the case, and spit it outside the case. If the bottom part is nice and airtight.. only place to get air would be from the front, drawing it over the hard drives. Only time I could see middle fan mattering is if the PSU fan was on slow.. which leads me to
2) Doesn't forcing air into the back of the PSU not accomplish a lot? PSU has it's own fan moving at it's own CFM.... pushing some crap through wouldn't seem to do a lot.
3) Lot of people saying turn the "blow-hole" should be turned down towards the cpu. I can see this working okay.. blowhole down, and an exhaust right next to it blowing out. However.. then we have a total of 2 fans blowing in (top + front), and only 1 going out (back). To compensate, do we just make sure the back fan is really blowing a lot of CFM? only 1 way for air out of a case seems insufficient.
4) How bad are the stock fans? I usually add all my own fans to try and get nice quiet ones.. assume I can gain some ground with better fans here too?
