Here's an idea I had, And I would like to know if anyone has done it before. (and possible a link to that)

Basically, the Red rectangles are cold cathodes and the blue lines are where wiring would go...

Because the sides are grated i think it would look cool.
 
ok very nice, now figure a way to put them behind the grating and make the mod totally badass. CCFLs are bright as heaven exposed like that.
 
But then you block 90% of the air going to the fan(s) in the front.

I am working on a mod very similar to yours, using just a single CCFL.
