P-M + Adapter + P4P800DLX = ?

will it work? is the adapter actually only limited to those very few motherboards, or does the adapter seem to work with many asus boards? i cant seem to find anyone who said they had their P-M in anything other than the P4P800SE and VM model, or 479 pin motherboard. links appreciated.

Is that the P4P800 Deluxe? It should work fine then, I hear the adapter works on all Asus boards based on the Intel 848,865, and 875 chipsets. Your's is an 865PE.
