P-ATA 133 Controllers Question

Hey,
Currently, my motherboard has two Parallel ATA slots, one of which is utilized by a SeaGate 120 GB hard drive. I want to put two 200 MB Diamond Max 10 P-ATA/133 HDDs into Raid 0 configuration. However, I do not the room. So, is it possible to buy a PCI P-ATA 133 Controller and then setup the Raid 0 with the DiamonMax 10 hard drives and keep my SeaGate hard drive. First, will this work? Second, if in theory this works, will it be very slow because its a PCI interface? Third, what controller would you reccommand me to get?
-Sorry I am new to Hard Disk drives and I do not know much about things like PCI controllers.

Yep, you can do this with no problems. You can get a card which does "hardware" raid or just stripe the drives in software.
 
Hmmm...I found out my mobo only supports Parallel ATA 100 not 133. Can I still hook up the Diamon Max 10 and have it utilize only 100 MB per second over the 133?
 
Yep. Realistically there's no speed difference between 100 and 133, since the drive doesn't transfer at 100 MB/s. There should be no problems with that configuration.
 
So the IDE cables are all the same right? Same number of pins and everything? I can just buy that Diamond Max 10 and hook it up to my mobo that has a controller rated up to only 100 and it will still work? Also, what is the name of the cable that I use to hook up that drive to the motherboard? (The drive comes only in OEM and I think I need an extra cable.) Also, what IDE controller would you recommand me to buy?
 
They all have the same number of pins, but not always the same number of conductors. Some are 40 and some 80. The extra pins are not strictly necessary, but they allow speeds higher than ata/66. I'd recommend against using rounded cables.

First, which one would you recommand me to get. { I run Windows XP } Second, can I hook up the 133 p-ATA drive to my motherboard though it only supports 100 P-ATA?

Also, this is kinda of stupid question but I need to know for sure. Can I attach the hard drives to one of the following devices and leave them just as seperate drives, out of RAID?
 
Can someone help me please because I need to order the hard drive tonight because I need the extra space a.s.ap.
