I'm running a P 805-D but with only one stick of memory it's a gig stick of DDR-II 667 and the PC seems sluggish. I was wondering, would there be a big differance if I put in one more stick of memory.
Not just because of more memory, (and this is my real question) but does a 805-D run better with two sticks of memory ? Does that put it in duel channel mode and will that De-Sluggafy my computer ?

If you play games it will make a HUGE difference. Just normal use I dont think it should be sluggish. What are your system specs? Do you have alot of programs running in the background?

The 805-D at stock speed (2.66) 1gig of DDRII 266 (stock speed) Old video card (Radeon 9800) a (OLD HD ALSO) 7200 RPM segate 120g. and not the most top end motherboard, it's a ASrock duel Vista.with a VIA chipset.
Shut down most background programs.
Seems sluggish if I use XP or Vista (Not both installed at once, just one or the other with a fresh install after a clean format).
