Nearly a year I've been working on this mod. I posted this over at bit-tech also, so for some it will be a re-run. Please tell me what you think good or otherwise. Thanks all

I'm not a big fan of cases that are made to look dirty, old and rusted... on purpose, but you did a damn good job, it looks really authentic, like it's all made of steel and has been sitting in an abandoned factory for 15 years :p

that is probably one of the better mods I've seen in a long time. There was obviously a lot of time put into a deliberate placeing of random events, like rust and that's what I love. The control used to not go overboard and to integrate objects like the keypad and switch box and make them look like it was built that way is what impresses me. Congrats on an awesome project.

wow that looks really cool... where did u find that keypad if u dont mind me asking

Very, Very good job man. Although I too love clean and sleek looking cases, that thing is, imo, the embodiment of artistic talent. Keep up the good work :D

Thanks all. Link to the keypad

finishing page for all the other links
The "aged" look is accomplished with acrylic paint, and shoe polish, it takes some experimenting to get just the right feel, kinda like staining wood, paint it on, rub it off. You can remove all of it with some 0000 steel wool and start over if need be. Thanks again.

Please post pics in the thread rather than just link them. Thanks.

I like the job. But the rust color seems un rust-like. I prefer reddish martian rust, but it looks like it took a lot of time and effort. Maybe I'mjust jealous cause I can't do that.

One of the coolest mods I have ever seen. Great work, excellent vision. :D

All I can think of right now is the theme song to junkyard wars.

That is one unique case-mod, I love it. Even better knowing and understanding how much work went into it.
