Owncloud or Seafile

Hey folks,

Any opinions between the two? I've tried them both out and they seem to work well.

If there is one thing that I don't like about Seafile it's the file system that it uses (this can be an advantage too). Seafile is also really fast but Owncloud appears to be decent for my data set as well.

Hoping that some of you who have used both for extended periods might be able to share your thoughts.

I have an owncloud setup but am playing with seafile also since it seems to have better end-end encryption
 
seafile encryption is done client side, owncloud encryption is done on the server... owncloud uses their "encryption app" on the server... so in theory someone with direct access to the server can decrypt the files... also I think owncloud does not enable encryption between the client and the server by default but it is available via TLS

honestly just set them both up in VMs and play with them, see which one meets your needs better...
 
Set them both up. It's a tough choice. How stable is the Seafile file system? Also, it seems like OwnCloud has way more developer support, why do you think that is?
