Greatly disappointed with Bulldozer, and does not even deserve the FX name, it performs quite poor in gaming and can't even keep up with the 1100T in some benchmarks, WTF?

Funny you say that since the Apples to Apples comparison done here at the [H] shows BD besting the i7-2600k in 2 out of 3 games when both overclocked.
Those were the GPU bottlenecked benches he was talking about where CPU performance didn't matter all that much except for Civ V. Come on man, look at the video settings, miniscule FPS differences, and actually read the darn article. The CPUs aren't stressed that much on those kind of video settings.

In his dellusions he's thinking there is some massive conspiracy by Opus Dei, the Illuminati, Bilderberg Group, Exxon Mobile, Michael Jackson, Butthead and Elmer Phud to make AMD look bad.. They've secretely replaced the review kits with Intel supplied ones.
Instead of BD FX CPUs, Intel linked together 20 386SX cpus ( originally they wanted 286 but couldn't get turbo core working at 12V ) and added a 10MB ROM chip which mimics x86-64, AES, AVX and does FMA by increments of 1.
Once this was done, a few armies of typewriter equipped chimpanzees wrote new source code for the benchmarks. To avoid complexity, they wrote it in TurboPascal.
Now you know the inner workings of the worlds largest conspiracy.

I had to pick underwhelmed. I expected the FX 8150 to be very competitive with the i7 2600 in 5 or less threads and to outperform the i7 2600 in greater than 5 threads. What I did not expect is lower than Phenom II single threaded IPC and also lower performance per watt. I also expected the Turbo core to do much better. However it could be that it is hampered by higher than expected power usage. I have not had the time to try to understand why BD did not meet expectations so I will not try to guess well except for the obvious. They really need to improve their 32nm process.
With all of this said I think BD will do fine in the server market where frequencies are lower and thread counts are higher.
im most underwhelmed by the piss poor overclocking numbers, 4.6 sounds good when water cooled but than i realize that it runs at 4.1 out of the box when turbo is on. 400mhz is pretty low. the power usage is shocking for me, i had considered it for a big adv folder because of the lower cost but not with nearly 200w extra draw thats running 24/7. for that kind of power i could add a good gpu to the mix and really boost the numbers

Worst release ever, I never imagined BD would be such a steaming pile of shit. AMD Jeff or whatever the hell his name is should just end himself now or atleast never come here again. BD just made me decide to go all Intel from now on. The fact that Thuban is the better cpu is mind boggling after all this time. Fuck you AMD for making me wait for nothing.

Im certainly disappointed, but i find it mildly amusing how upset some of you are. Jf amd is a cheerleader. He is paid to promote his employer and probably not given the truth we were looking for anyway. No one held a gun to our head and forced us to wait. The pre existing cpu choices are plenty powerful anyway....
what if this cpu plays well with 7000+ series gpu's?

You mean resolutions where the CPU barely comes into play at all? WHy would anyone test a CPU like that?
you should ask every reviewer that wrote a review about bd then.
