HI Guys, i was wondering if you guys have some idea on how to help me. My cpu overheats while playing wow and just shuts off (no shutdown procedure) its an AMD Athlon 64 x2 + Duel core and just as it shuts off my temps are:
Core 1 110 celcius
Core 2 95 Celcius
I know these are way too hot but i dont know what to do.
The graphics setting are on Fair (which is almost the lowest) but id like to run it on ultra, which i have done in the past, its only the last week or so (since cataclysm came out) its been over heating.
At the moment while not playing and just on her the temps are:
Core 1 47 celcius
Core 2 40 Celcius
Heatsink and fan are clean, case fan is clean.
My system Details are:
Processor: AMD Athlon 64 x2 + Duel Core
Operating: System Windows 7 home premium 64bit version
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce 9800GT (Running 2 Screens if it makes a difference)
RAM: 4096MB
I'm thinking of getting a new CPU fan and re-seating my heatsink with some new thermal coupling tomorrow to see if this hels, but other than that im at a loss.
