Just now my computer shut down while I was playing Bloodlines and when I booted it up again it said it shut down because of overheating. I checked the temperature in the bios and it read 113 degrees farenheit and that's how it usually is.

It's a P4 2.4ghz on an Intel board. The board has always given me trouble. Especially with my USB mouse from a cold boot. And lately my computer has been freezing up at random. I think it's the harddrive though since I hear the single loud click like when my computer shuts down.

What's going on with my computer? Can I fix it? Should I replace something? :(

Run a burn in program on it and just let it run long enough to see what is malfunctioning. Go to download.com and search "burn in" or Google search the same term.

Do you mean 113 Celsius? The P4 has a built in throttle that if the temperature rises too much it will scale back the clock cycles until it cools off. You will probably need to replace the board.
