Sorry for what maybe the daft question I used to have a x800pro then changed to a 6800gt SLI setup which I got fed up of and now have a x850xt, but theres no overdrive or temp monitoring feature in advance properties is this right? im using 5.3 cats

There should be an overdrive feature using Cat 5.3, although it won't be directly under the advanced tab, you'll need to go into the Catalyst Control Center tab, that lies within advanced. If it's not there you'll have to re-install the drivers and ensure CCC is checked this time around when it's asking what features you'd like to install.

weird I just installed .net framework 1.1 to get ccc to work but theres no overdrive?

Do you have AtiTool installed also? I have a x850 xt pe and sometimes when atitool is open, the overdrive section in the catalyst center isn't there. Other times it is there. I just close atititool and restart catalyst and the overdrive feature appears.

its there, i am using the 5.3 cats maybe try uninstalling everything and using a driver cleaner, maybe there are legt overs from the nv set up

I ran driver cleaner again and repeated it several times until no remains were found (think this is where i went wrong before) and resinstalled 5.3's and now i have overdrive which incidently crashed the pc LOL anyway its there and it works :)
