Doing a little research and need some folks to chime in if you have pushed your clock speeds past what your chips PR is (i.e. XP 2000+ hitting 2100 Mhz etc.) Thanks guys:)

I think you should be alittle more clearer as to what your researching here? I really just dont understand what your trying to do here?

Wow, I thought it was a pretty clear statement. Let me try this way...

AMD XP CPU's have a PR (Performance Rating). XP 2000+, 2100+,2400+, etc. This doesnt mean these chips run that speed. Has anyone overclocked an AMD XP chip so that it is running equal to or greater than the PR? If so, please post details here.

Better?

my brother's 2400+m35 is at 2.4, and it could go a bit farther if the mobo didn't crap out.

i have the worst stepping you can get on my XP 2700, so it only reaches 2.5 ghz, with 1.8 volts :(

i have got a friends XP 2500 to 2600 before tho

I have my Athlon XP-Mobile 2400+ 35W at 2.6 GHz... and I've had it up to 2.8GHz but the PSU wouldn't keep it stable with my vidcard overclock.

Thats a respectable overclock my friend:)

i could get my 2500+ to 2.5 on a cold day

but now with my 3200+... a 1.2ghz overclock is kinda pushing it without some vapo.

my old 2100+ could run at greater than 2.5ghz on air. my new 2500+ mobile runs at 2ghz on air, its definately a lemon.

My old 1500+ is still running at 1.66ghz in my parent's machine.
My current 1.6ghz Duron is doing 2.33ghz, but sadly has no PR rating. :p

My 2500 non-mobile easily does 2405MHz at 1.85V. My PSU only has 35A on the 5V line so I'm heavily PSU restricted right now (system is trying to draw 40A+). Should be able to go higher with a better PSU (soon, soon).

sorry to go off topic.. but how does one determine how much of their 5v rail their computer is trying to draw? because i think that my computer's 5v rail is exactly why my cpu won't go over 2.55 ghz.. but i dont' know how to see how much of my 5v rail is being used.. (also.. could me overstressing my 5v rail kill my agp slot? because i was trying to hit over 2.6ghz.. and i had 1.9v vcore.. then i upped it to 1.925 and i think i fried my agp slot.. the card works in another computer..)

wh00ps. misread.

you would need an ammeter. these are avail. from radioshack for $20 or so. you will need to fabricate your own connector tho.

My 2400+ moble is running at 2.55Ghz right now. In my case the chip is not limited, the motherboard is. By how little I have raised the voltage, I am fairly confident that this chip could surpass 2.7 with the right mobo.

motherboard monitor.

small download, excellent utility.

oh yea, sorry.
2100+ @ anywhere from 2GHz to 2.1GHz, depending on my fsb. 2.1GHz is the stable limit of my chip, regardless of voltage.

Mobile 2600+ @ 2700Mhz

1.95v_2.70 GHz_245 FSB_XP-M 2600+.jpg

4200+

:)

XP2400M@2645 @1.95volts watercooled, stable and solid.

Shuttle AN35N ultra-400 motherboards

PR Estimate : 3844 ;)

I run it mostly at 11x230, PI runs, 3dmark, etc, but some programs seem to dislike the higher FSB, so I'll run at 13x200 some times.

I can't complain at all. :)

Boots at 2700, can get to about 2730 in Windows, but even with 2.0V I can't get it above that point.

Here's some Sandra love for comparison.
