i have an abit it7-max2 and 1gb corsair pc4000 twinx pro

my mobo only officially supports up to 2100, but i obviously want to get more out of my ram, what settings and timings do u recomend i change in the bios to push the ram to 350 or 400 MHz?

i don't want to overclock the cpu a lot, need to keep the heat down, its gonna get hot over here soon

TIA

I think went overboard/overkill on the memory.

I have the IT7 w/2.53B @180 since the chip is running at 1.6 the temps have not been a problem even with inside temps of 27-29C. My memory is XMS3200LL at DDR450 2,5,3,3 timings. Runs like a dream, 4:5 ratio

I do not think you could even make your memory break a sweat unless you got an 865/875 MB and 2.4C to go with it

I max out stable at 187 but it’s at 1.725 volts. Not worth the heat. I have been running for 1 year and only once had to clock down (175) when the ambient temps went over 33C in the house and playing hours of 3d gaming action.

i knew i wouldn't be able to reach the 500MHz, i just wanted to buy this so i didn't have to buy RAM again when i build my new rig in a few months
