Overclocking???

I currently tried overclocking my system. I overclocked a 3000+ barton (2.167ghz) to 2.3ghz with voltage going from 1.7 to 1.85. The default fsb was at 166 *13 or something. I upped the fsb to 177 which change the memory to 424mhz. I upped the voltage of the memory to 2.7 or 2.8. Everything seemed to boot up fine. It seems to idle at around 49-52 with coolermaster jet7. Is this type of overclock ok for the chip. Does this seem stable enough to where it wont burn out the chip over a extended period of time? Does that temperature seem fine? Please Inform me... I dont know a whole lot about overclocking

Currently I am running an abit NF7-S v2.0 with 1x512mb geil pc3200 ultra (2-6-3-3)
400w PSU.

The best way to check stability is to run a program such as Sisoft Sandra or Prime 95. Any overclock will cause your CPU to die out quicker than it would of not overclocked. I don't think a 200mhz jump would be too bad, but then again I've never owned an AMD. The temperature seems a little high, I'd buy a new Heatsink/Fan and some Arctic Silver 5. 52C at idle is pretty high, atleast for my taste. I'd run a burn-in test with one of those programs, and then check the load tempperature, that is if the program does not crash before you get a chance to.
 
is it 52 idle on case temps? im idle at 3.2 to 3.410 with 33 idle... :p
