overclocking xeon's?

Possible?

Always possible? or depends on processor line?

I'm thinking of maybe getting a socket 2011 xeon proc in an asus x79 workstation setup if they end up being compatible like they have been previously. do they have limited overclocks, or can you do whatever with them? anyone have any experience with this?
 
Its entirely up to the motherboard; the Xeons themselves will clock quite well (as the SR-2 shows).
