So heres the deal: I'll use overdrive to set my GPU clock from the default 669 to around 740. Also, I'll set my memory clock from the default 829 to around 1000.
I can run an acceptable temperature with perfect stability at this clock.

The problem is that it doesn't seem like it's doing anything at all. I have tried with numerous games (Bioshock, HG:L, CoD4 etc.) and I don't gain ANY framerate benefits (I'm serious...not even a single frames difference).

So, my heat goes up, it reads that it's using all the overclocked resources on the card when I'm in game...but I don't gain a single frame. Baffling.

Also, I've tried from 7.10 to 7.12 CCC and all had the same result. I've also tried Rivatuner, same result.

This one stumps me...help please.

I removed CCC, set my new clock and memory with rivatuner and used ATItool to check for artifacting, didn't get any and was running a nice 60c.

End result: same. Not one frame. Nothing.

I'm pretty close to giving up on this, I have been battling with it for a week....I feel I'm losing the battle.

Is it possible that something is locked on the card or something? Is it possible that my CPU is not allowing any more performance to be gained out of my card? It's an AMD 64 3800 @ 2.4Ghz. Is this even possible?

I'm overall pleased with my performance without OC...it just burns me knowing I could be getting more out of the card with good temp and stability, and it doesn't work.

Am I simply doing something wrong? I just don't get it...

Help is GREATLY appreciated...I'm at the end of my rope on this one.

Use 3dmarks05 or 06 to test your overclocks and see if the scores increase. Atleast 3dmarks will tell you if your overclocks are working.

The games you are testing may be cpu limited on your system. Many new games and video card drivers are starting to experiment with dual core cpus.
