Hey, My system is as follows.

ASUS Rampage x48
Ultra 120 Extreme Cooler
DDR 2 Corsair Dominator 1066MHZ 2x2GB

I tried to overclock using the AI Siute utility and I pushed it to 2.8, 3, 3.2, 3.4 and when I run ASUS probe 2 it puts the following in red. The following shows information without Overclock and then with the FSB at 425 resulting in 3.4ghz

Firstly, Is the board/temp/volts running good without overclocking? As I had to mess about with the heatsink for ages and was worried I damaged the thermal pastes bond to the Heatsink?

I read somewhere the auto is setting the ones in red at a higher volt than they need, can you recommend how I go forward?

Thanks alot

You should be fine. Anything that shows up red is a certain percentage above the stock #'s. Much of overclocking deals with increasing voltage, so you kinda dont have a choice. Those #'s are fine. I mean your ram seems a little high, should be 2.1v, anything more is usually just gonna shorten lifespan, maybe 1 year out of 5. Also your NB, I would put it to like 1.5 or 1.55, 1.65 just seems really high, but your temps are fine, so you really shouldnt worry about it.

What do your temps look like using Core temp in windows?

I am just currious how your cores look.
