how much heat does it produce? do i need to get a new fan or is the stock fan good enough?

i hear a lot of good reviews about the 6600 and i'm considering it and how it can be overclocked a lot... i'm just wary about the heat it'll produce or the life of it and such.

I found that the heat does not increase much, if at all. It is more a function of voltage. Volt mod the card and that all changes.

you should be ok to oc most cards without replacing their stock coolers, a good number of people just oc as far as their stock coolers will let them. I would recommend maybe going with a bit better of a card than a plain 6600 though...
