Since Powerstrip auto-loads itself into the Windows icon list in the bottom right everytime you boot up, I was wondering if I can turn that off and still retain Powerstrip's OC while I play games.

It's a bit annoying to see one more program running in the background taking up some system memory and potentially slowing down gaming performance - so is it OK to turn off Powerstrip ?

I think when you close out Powerstrip it reverts back to its default clock speeds, but I could be wrong.

If you're running Powerstrip on the rig in your sig.........l don't think that it will bog anything down. You should be just fine.

You can run PowerStrip will a "/exit" command-line parameter - it will restore your settings and then close.

You can exit Powerstrip and retain your overclock. In fact, if you change the clock speed with another utility before you restart Powerstrip, Powrstrip will restore the overclock when it starts up again.
