Overclocking trouble

I'm having trouble overclocking my q6600 as I seem to having a problem getting the RAM to match the processor. I can reach up to 333 FSB fine as my ram (ddr2 800) seems to have no problem running at 667 or 800mhz. As soon as I raise the FSB from 333 and it forces the RAM to run somewhere in between those 2 frequencies the overclock fails. When I can get into windows I fail prime95 immediately with a rounding error - which seems to indicate a memory problem.

I can't dail up the FSB all the way to 400 and run the ram at 800 because it doesn't seem to boot at that speed regardless of the vcore I apply to it.

I'm running a q660 (G0), on a maximus formula. Any ideas on how I can get the ram stable at a FSB frequency below 400 but above 333?

Do I need to increase any voltages other than the cpu voltage to be able to run at 400x9, as I tried up to 1.55 (before vdroop of 0.048)?
 
Its possible that you need to up the northbridge voltage to breach 400mhz fsb seeing as how the default is much lower than that and most motherboards don't run at 400mhz out of the box. I had to do that with my IP35-E in order to reach 400fsb+.
 
What memory timings are you using? Try loosening them to 6-6-6-18 and see if that helps.
 
What voltage is your RAM running on? Try increasing it to 2.1v (if it isn't there already) and see how that runs.
