HI guys how are you?

I have 2 Titan X SLI here

I wanna start to OC the VGA but never did it before, i saw some templates at some websites but i wanna know untill when i`ll be safe, can you guys help me?

I tried this template here and tested with 3dmark firestrike, got 20628 point

2506491

As i said i never did OC at VGA`s just at CPU`s if someone can help me or at least send me a safe profile that will work safe and give me some gain i`ll be thankfull

Thanks guys

No one can send you a profile, everyones setup and card is unique. What works for one person may not work for others.

Just keep sliding the core clock slider up until the VGA artifacts or crashes. Then do the same for the memory.

Thanks

I imagined, i just want something basic and simple....

I think i`ll saty at stock so, even with this titans wthat have some nice capacibilities to bump a little

Try to overclock as high as you can without adding voltage. Without a custom BIOS, adding voltage will just make you hit the TDP wall faster and limit your potential Boost clock.

Always test your overclock in actual games and not just benchmarks. Look at the core clock graph in AB to see how steady the core clock stays throughout a gameplay session.

But i really do not want to make tries like increase 20mhz test and than trie again....

IS there any way that i can set some memory clock and gpu clock and be safe, without testing all the times and bumping the cores all the times? I know thaat i`m been lazing but i really do not want to do that

What I did was read what others were getting and started from there. I increased the core clock in steps until I crashed, and then backed off 50 MHz for stability. Because of manufacturing tolerance no two cards will overclock the same, unfortunately. The whole process for me including testing took about 90 minutes to completely dial it in. Just keep in mind when testing that lockups or driver crashes will be related to the core overclock, while artifacting will be related to memory clock.

If you have a reference card then +200 in AB is pretty typical. This should get you near 1400 MHz Boost and up to a 15-20% increase in game framerates. Some people have been able to go to +250 on air. A lot of people are also able to get +494 on the memory, which will get you 8000 MHz effective and another 5-10% increase in framerates at resolutions of 1440p and higher.

With the stock BIOS it is nearly impossible to damage the video card while trying to overclock if you just stay modest.

When you say +200 AB you mean both memory and core clock?

If yes with this values did you changed the voltage (mv) ?

Tks

+200 in AB, meaning the core clock offset in MSi Afterburner. You can probably go up to +494 with the memory, which is what I am using.

I added +20 mV in Afterburner for stability. I was getting crashing after about 30 minutes in Dying Light, and adding a little voltage helped prevent that.

Just FYI, I am using an EVGA Superclocked version. Out of the box it comes with a 126 MHz base overclock on the core. I added +100 in Afterburner for a +226 MHz overclock when compared to reference.

Now we get some nice numbers

If i want my regular version to become a SC version what should i do? What template should i use?

Thanks

You can download a 400W no voltage bump BIOs here so you don't throttle.

Throttling is detrimental to your frame times make sure it doesn't happen.

Obviously BIOs flashing is at your own risk.

Is it safe?

Man i think i I have no courage to do flash bios for just one reason

I live in Brazil and here each Titan X costs something like 2000$ the double from the regular price from USA, i can`t take any risk to loose a card ;)

Probably not worth the extra 50 MHz or whatever then.

So what those guys said earlier, max the PL slider, max stable core, then memory without touching voltage. If you're not at the power limit then maybe up voltage. That's all completely safe. If you're running SLI you don't want to hit powerlimit. It'll stutter like a bastard.

You mean that i do not need to touch the power limit slider at afterburner if i`ll use the titans at SLI?

You want the slider at 110%. You do not want your cards to actually hit that limit. You want them to max out at perhaps 106%.

IF i just want to make my regulars one like a SC model what should i do?

Thanks

To my knowledge SC models is the same hardware just clocked higher out of the box. So by overclocking you're getting the same result.

Yep its the same card

But how much should I increase at clocks to get the SC version? Any voltage mod need?

Tks

Your clocks are already higher than the SC version if you're at +200 / +400.

Yes i know but i did not tested this clocks much

i wanna just the SC clocks, how much should i put to begin testiing?

Thanks

Guys

I flashed my titans with a modded SC bios

Is there any problem to use a SC bios in a regular card?

Now my card is just like a SC one, can i leave like this or will i have some problems?
