Overclocking SLI 460s

So I'm running two GTX 460s both on stock. I clocked the cards from 675/900/1350 to 850/1050/1700. My settings in Afterburner are 850/1700/2100 though, not sure why GPUZ is showing slightly different.

Anyway, my temps are about the same, since I upped my fan from 40 to 70. I don't go over 70 while gaming. I just ran Kombuster on extreme settings, never went over 70 and ran just fine, so my clock appears to be stable, I'm also not experiencing any issues. I'm just wondering if that's as far as I should go at the moment. I'm trying to get the best performance I can so I can run BF3 on something other than medium. My CPU is Q9450 @ 3.2, and I have 4GB of RAM.

Thanks

if you can't run anything higher then medium in BF3 with 2 460's, i'd more then likely say your CPU is holding you back. what resolution are you using?

1920x1080. I assumed it was my CPU bottlenecking me. Do you think it'd be worth it to overclock it a bit higher? My i5 build is around the corner, so.

Resolution youre trying to max out is very important. 460 SLI would have no problem running 1080p @ 45-55fps on ultra and going over 60 fps on high.

Your limiting factor is the amount of VRAM on those cards. I run on high with medium textures, 4xAA w/HBAO, and am 13MB away from maxing out the 1GB of VRAM on my card.

So could this be a CPU problem? Or possibly something I'm just overlooking? I'm running 64 bit W7, so I'm utilizing all 4 gigs of my memory. I don't know if the game is made for utilizing everything though. I was told on the BF forum that there's optimization issues with SLI/Xfire, so I'm assuming that's the main reason I'm experiencing these issues.

How do I view how much VRAM I'm using? Both cards are the 1GB version. Wouldn't I have a total of 2GB?

Edit: Ran BF3 on one card, on High, ran it very well, rarely dipped in the 30s.. lol
