Overclocking Ram

Is it a good idea to overclock Corsair ValueSelect? How much can they take? Or should I just wait until i have some XMS? I ask because I want to put my 2500+ above 200 fsb. Thanks in advnace for suggestions.
 
If you can then by all means. When it value ram, sometimes you get lucky with a decent overclock out of them. Make sure you test your ram though with your overclock, use Memtest. If you get no errors, then its fine. Also be sure to loosen ram timings in bios. This will help you get alittle more out of your ram.
 
umm temps of you ram? nothing to worry about....unless you running some insane voltage to your ram.

Or do you mean CPU temps as result of your overclock?
 
Ram temps is what I am worried about, my cpu temps are good.
 
i really wouldnt worry about ram temps....if you are that worried, you can get heatspreaders for it. I doubt it will give you any increase in performance. Touch your ram in your machine and see if its hot....it might get like luke warm, but nothing that would need extra cooling.
 
i have a gig of Corsair ValueSelect and i've got my fsb up to 235 so far and still can go further. maybe i got lucky but it's worked awesome so far.
