to start I've got a XfX geforce fx 5700 ultra ddr3 and would like to know how good it would perform at it's peak (without putting too much stress on card) how would it perform (core speed and effective speed)

I've also got an AMD Athlon XP 2800+ and would like to know how much I could overclock that

Sorry for my ignorance, i've never overclocked.

The 5700 isn't going to be significantly better overclocked. It's castrated by its memory bus width. The 2800 on the other hand, could go 2300-2400

Especially cooling and your temps.

Keep in mind it's summer (for most of us) and it's going to get cooler. Many people I know change their ocs with the seasons.

Video card: Xfx geforce fx 5700 ultra ddr3

Cpu: AMD Athlon XP 2800+

Motherboard: Biostar, i think its a MN7CD or something, U prob know what I'm talkin bout

RAM: 512mb of i think the brand Ultra

HDD: 160gb western digital

Psu: 400 watt

Also i have a card cooling fan, its a vantec double fan, blue led, and I had it plugged in and when I pulled it out one of the prongs in the head of the cord came out and I pulled the wires out of the white thing. So i have to loose cords (it was inside and male and female head and was cmoing out of top) anyway, what could I do to be able to use the fan again, to fix it?
