Overclocking Problems

Using the Following

A64 2800+ stock hsf
Abit NF8 S754 nf3 ultra 250gb with latest bios
pdp patriot 2-3-2-5-1T pc3200 2 x 256 with infineon chips (had corsair xms pc3200 XL 2 x 256)
Antec true 380w psu
Leadtek 6600gt AGP
Seagate 250gb ide (used to have WD 800jb)

My cpu temps on full load are only 55*c and my case temp is 35*c full load, perfectly exceptable.


I successfully can get my fsb up to 240. I also can prime95 and memtest for days using 9 x 240 successfully. I end up with about 2160 mhz. In bios i have disbaled cool and quiet, but the problem i notice is such as follows only which happens when i overclock. Originally i thought this was a hard drive problem but i replaced it with a seagate and a new ide cable and it didnt change anything.

Is there something i need to do in bios, such as disabling cpu throttle or something. Or changing HTT etc. Im not sure what the overclock is causing my machine to do.

You don't think it's a problem with your AGP clock?

Do you know if you can set you AGP to 67Mhz locked?

Or simply an Nvidia driver issue.

Just a suggestion.

Thanks for the idea, i now have it locked at 67mhz. Im trying my stress testing without the video card overclocked at all and seeing if thats all it was.

nahh that wasnt it. Ive tried the video card at stock and new drivers, and a fresh format without using theme editors (uxtheme patch etc) and the problem still shows up about 3 weeks into a fresh install. . Im trying lowering the ram voltage incase its just getting too hot or something
