Okay so I turn on my computer and go into the BIOS and read the CPU Freq in Mhz and it says it is at 3666 mhz and the cpu multiplier is at 11x... well, my cpu is the QX6850 and I have not overclocked it at all so it should be running at 3000mhz right?

Also, my cpu temps are around 50 degrees celcius in the BIOS ( i know it is high)... if that means anything

My CPU core voltage is set at 1.41V when on the box it says that max voltage is 1.35v

But if I lower the multiplier back to 9 then won't it be 9*400 or 3600mhz?

What should i do about the voltage?

Setting the multplier down to 9x would decrease the CPU back down to 3000Mhz as you're running with about a 333 FSB with the 11x. I guess you can try manually setting the voltage in your BIOS to the lowest it'll go, I don't really know about that one, your 680i board should be able to support and recognize the extreme quad proc so I don't really know what the problem could be.

Where would I find the reset to default values? and how do i check if i have the right bios?

Download coretemp and check the temps.

With the tuniq and a good airflow in your case, your idle should be around low 40s - full load at around low 60s. If it's drastically higher than that, either you have poor airflow, you haven't installed the hsf correctly or you didn't apply the thermal compound the right way.
