Alright, well this is my first post on the forum, so I'd like to say hey to everyone first. Hey! But yeah on to my question, I'm like completely new to this overclocking thing, but I got a lot of high quality stuff in hopes that some day I would overclock it and that day has come. But I don't know how to do it. I have the P4C800-E mobo, and I know how to go in and do the AI overclock in the BIOS by like 10%, 20% whatever(but that drops the memory speed down so that's no good), but when I go the manual setting and try and change the FSB, I can't, it won't let me up the value any. Do I have to press a special button to get it to work or what? I can't hit enter and change anything, can't use arrow keys, nothing. What do I do? Also, my memory is supposed to run stock at 2-3-2-6, but when I set it to run by SPD in the BIOS it's running at 2.5-3-2-6. When I try to manually change it to 2-3-2-6, I exit the BIOS and the screen goes black and I can't reboot into Windows. It just stays black after reboot. I have to do the hit INS trick to get it to load into the BIOS and it keeps saying some message about OC failed. I tried OCing by using Clockgen and it was only stable up to about 220MHz FSB, at 225 programs were crashing and at 230, screen went black and computer cut off. Please help.
