I play cs:s and I usually have 30-50 fps at 1024x768 with all settings on low.
I've googled this but no one seems to have a good step-by-step guide to overclocking except for 64's.
How can I overclock my cpu and video card to get better fps.

3DMark05 score using Omega driver: 1759
cpu score: 2676

thanks

did ur mother board come with a program to overclock ? if your nto sure get your driver cd and put it in and look through the utilities and see if there is like a corecenter(not gonna be that) but somthing close and as in video card overclocknig im not sure with ATI(DAM CANADIANS) i know nvidea has a update that you can overclock witch i did but if you want to see a differnce save up about 40 bucks and get ur seld some cheep ram at newegg they have 512 for 35 bucks cheap but its ram and its 3200 2.5 cas but upgrading your ram will help the most you wont see much a differnce with overclocking your processor well kepp us updated get a nother stick of 512 and it should help a whole bunch

there's the sticky on top ;)

for the video card..you might just be better off downloading the newest cat drivers and using the "overdrive" tool

or you could get omega drivers and do it via ATI Tool

yeah, i've got the utilities to overclock both the cpu and the ati card... I just don't know how to use them safely.
I'm gonna order some memory at newegg, I've been planning on doing that since I built the computer about a year ago.
what's cas latency?
do I need to pick 2.5 or 3?
I have no clue what my current memory is...
