Overclocking my 6800GT

I've just installed an NV Silencer on my 6800GT. Now I'm playing around with the overclock and I ran across a question.

I installed coolbits and I'm able to overclock it to 401/1.08, but after that it won't pass the test that it requires before applying the settings. Is this because my card just won't physically exceed those speeds or is it playing it safe and not allowing me to manually push above those speeds? If the latter is true then are there any third party overclocking apps that will allow me to go further or amI stuck where I'm at?

from MY experience...if it doesn't pass the test, it won't run 3dmark properly.

i'm able to get 407/1.07 on stock cooling using coolbits 2.0

i'm using a BFG 6800GT OC

i guess try choosing the option to find the best overclock automatically.

I think everyone's is different...My BFG 6800GT OC with NV Silencer I get 415/1.20

So if it doesn't pass the test then there isn't a secondary way to OC that might allow me to push it a bit further?

RivaTuner or Powerstrip will do fine, I like coolbits more because it's so streamlined.
