overclocking made my games run slower?

I dont know whats goin on but when i overclock my BFG6800 my games run much slower for some reason. I did unlock the extra pipes. Ive read somewhere that it could be my powersupply that is bottlenecking it. I dont know if this is true or not but thats why i came to you guys to get your opinion. If its not the powersupply then what could it be?

Btw i have an Antec 300watt powersupply.
 
Now that i think of it , It couldnt be your powersupply because you would notice artifacting if your gfx card wasnt getting the needed power. Its probably your temps tho because the overclocking probably pushed the temps high enough to hit the thermal slow down point where your graphics core is slowed down to decrease temperature.

If you push the video card too far, itll throttle itself (it claims 120c is the throttle point, but ive noticed it being much lower) which is probably what your experiencing. Better cooling should fix it.
