I recently added 2nd vid card for sli and it's working great. Now I want to overclock. I've searched the forums but still can't figure out if both of my cards are optimally clocked under Riva 2.08. The problem points to the overclocking tab of Riva under the secondary adapter. Under 'starup settings' which are grayed out, a check box claims that the program wiill 'apply overclocking at Windows startup-Startup settings:513Hz/860Hz'
The 860Hz makes sense since that's what I intended. But the 513Hz i think is the standard clock. I thought overclocking would be equal. Note that the bios of the new card in the secondary slot is a newer bios. Any ideas?

When you overclock in riva tuner, and you choose the clocks, its going to overclock both your cards at the same time. You cant clock 1 at say 550/1000 and the other at 600/1200, they have to run at the same speed so tehy dont give you the option to overclock independantly.

BUT Riva states that my core clock is still default 513 clock for secondary adapter, althought the memory overclocks. What's up?

although riva hardware monitor says both cards are exactly equal. But as to whether both cards have to be at same speeds? I've read different opinions on that.

The Riva hardware monitor shows clock and memory speeds identical but temperatures vary as expected. So now I'm convinced...that they run at identical speeds. Solved.
