I'm building a system for my brother, but never have really messed with overclocking before. Here's the parts I'm thinking about getting.. I already ordered the motherboard and harddrive, and will probably do the rest sunday:
Asus P6T WS Pro - (I got it for $299 at newegg)
Core i7 920
OCZ 6GB Triple Channel DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Memory

I'm thinking 1333 because, if I read right, with anything faster, you can only use 3 slots. Correct me if I'm wrong..
Western Digital Caviar Black WD6401AALS 640GB 32MB cache harddrive
I'm probably going to go with a GeForce 9800 GTX+, unless the price is a 260 GTX goes down a bit more.

Anyway, as far as overclocking the processor goes, would the stock fan do good enough? I have some Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound. I'm not really wanting to do anything too extreme, at least for the time being, but would like to at least break 3 GHz.
