Hey guys,

I'm trying to OC my 4870x2. I'm a bit worried about the VDDC temps, what are safe/dangerous temps. I've been getting 55-58C on core0 and 51-55C on core1 @ 820/1020.
GPU cores are now idling at 41C and loads get up to just 48C. I've got an Accelero Xtreme installed for those that haven't seen the pics in the AMD/ATI forum.

your temps are perfectly fine.. the gpu's designed to handle up to 110C.. the only thing you need to worry about is the VRM temps..

How can I determine the VRM temps? I don't see any states on GPU-Z.

Thanks for the info.

its been a long time since ive used an ATI card.. which is depressing.. but it might be in the cat control panel.. if not.. try rivatuner.. its got a very good temp graph that shows your gpu clock speeds, ram speeds, shader speeds, and every temps sensor there is on the card..

Thanks for the info, any idea what are save VRM temps? or any other temps I should be worried about?

i dont know what the exact max temps are on the vrm's.. im sure its some where in the 100C range.. you will know if they are getting to hot.. games will artifact like crazy.. the desktop will start artifacting.. or the display drivers will start crashing..
