wow thanks, im a n00b and this is very helpful, i never got the voltage stuff till then.

mabey a sticky would be nice to help the fellow noobs like me! :p
 
well, we did it because it is helpful. and i PM'd zer0signal about a sticky, so we'll see;)
 
Wow thanks guys. Coudn't have posted that at a better time. I think I have a pretty good grasp on what to do now and I can't wait to get my system built so i can try it out.

Actually, that's a good idea. And actually, before we sticky that, I think we'll also need a disclaimer removing any kind of responsibility from the [H] :D

...which is confusing...shouldnt it be IF You DO ATTEMPT TO overclock....etcetcetc?

I wanted to keep it barebones, without all the comments and other stuff. Would you prefer to have it be a new thread with the guides actually posted by yourselves? We can do that...
 
nah, it's fine with me. uberl33tjarad may think different, but i'm just saying w/e. i got credit for my work, that's enough for me. and i can see why you wouldn't want all the comments in it. it loads slow enough on 56k as it is:p

the only suggestion i have is bolding stuff. just for readabiliity and all that.

I'll fix the bolding, I failed to realize that my copy & paste job didn't copy & paste all the text formatting.
 
Ok, I went one step further and just moved the pertinent posts from this thread to the new one... so there it is, formatting and all.

I got a new rig. Specs are in sig. I'll be redoing the guide from the ground up. The guide now is currently ~20 pages, expect 30-40 this summer.
