OK, As per my sig, I had an E8400 that didnt overclock all that well. I decided to try my luck with a super cheapt Xeon 3110. Basically its the same chip, just branded Xeon. Well I am happy to say, that it overclocks way better then my E8400 did. It seems to run all benchmarks better too. I am now very happy to join the xeon family :D Anyway, I thought I would share my results here incase anyone else is interested. If anyone else has one please post your results as well.

This is prime stable so far, about 2 hours running or so, still going.

This wasnt stable, atleast not at 1.35v. It let me boot into windows at 1.35v, but it would fail prime. I booted into windows at 2.275 or something as well.

This is where my E8400 topped out at. Any higher, it just wasnt stable, even with bios set 1.5v, which is way too high....

after about 15 minutes my CPU temp was 64 degree's and my core's according to coretemp where 70-77ish, would bounce anywhere inbetween.

Its definately higher then orthos put it. orthos was CPU temp of 60 and core temps of about 66.

I just got a E3110 and I am starting to OC it as well.

I have a Gigabte GA-EP35-DS3R Board with 4gb of ram.

Cooler I am using is a Thermalright Extreme 120 with a Scythe Fan. I have not lapped the cooler yet(waiting for the sandpaper to arrive).

Currently I have set my FSB at 423x9 for a total of 3.8ghz OC.

I have Vcore set to auto and it is at 1.26V.

I see that your Multi is at 8x instead of 9x, is it so you can achieve a higher FSB?

Also what is the maximum core temp you want to have with the E3110's and E8400's under full load?

65C 75C 80C?

Mine under testing has gone all the way upto 75C under full load but never higher.

idles around high 50's.. this is what i get from Coretemp/HardWare monitor.
