I have (as seen in sig) dual Xeon Prestonias @ 3.06GHz 533fsb on an IWILL DH800. I'm running Fetty Cold Touch heat sinks, a via aqua 1300 pump, swiftech dual 120mm rad, and a maze4 GPU on my unlocked 6800GS. The Processors are currently running at 3.3GHz (150x22) with temps of 36 degrees idle and 44 degrees load. The GPU is running at 430/1130 (350/1000 stock) and has temps of 40 idle and 48 load.

Now for my problem: I can't seem to get my processors any faster than 3.3GHz. They've been tested for 18hrs on Prime95 (4 instances) with no instability. However, if I bump the multiplier to 23 (max) to get 3.45GHz two of the instances will error out. I've tried upping the core voltage (the CPU's run at 1.495 and 1.500 stock and at 3.3) in the BIOS, but cpuz still reads the CPU's as being at stock voltage. (Anyone know if this is a problem with the DH800?) I've tried high speeds too, but Prime95 is unstable. Usually its only 2 instances that have trouble (the theoretical ones). Could it be my RAM thats holding me back? I'm running 2x Crucial 512's and 2x 1gb Corsair Value Selects.

Or is my problem that I've hit the max speed thats possible on these processors (I've heard of people hitting 3.5/3.6 before though)?

if you think it may be your ram.....you could try using a divider to lower the ram mhz and then try to find your max cpu overclock:)

Your RAM should be fine, if you fail when you bump up the CPU multiplier, then you hit a processor limit.

You need more voltage or you aren't gonna get anywhere.

Anyone have any ideas why my voltages won't change even if I set them above stock in my BIOS? I've tried setting them higher than 1.500 (stock is 1.500) and cpuz still reads my voltages as 1.500. Think there's something wrong with the motherboard? I'm running the latest firmware (although it is a v1 board).

By upping my voltage I should be albe to go beyond my current limitations correct? Or have I reached the absolute maximum my processors can handle?
