Please correct me if I'm wrong, but if you planned to overclock the CPU, the first two SATA ports would be affected, right? Because you increased the HTT/FSB that is also affecting the speed of SATA ports 1 & 2. But the problem is I have two SATA ports on my motherboard, do I have to use an EIDE hard drive if I wanted to overclock?

Overclocking will affect ide and sata hard drives if you can't lock the bus speed.
