So, i've overclocked plenty of core 2 duos before, but never anything in the new i5/i7 series. I just got a new computer for my uncle and he wants me to overclock it for him. Do i just do like i normally would, up the frequency and the voltage until i get the lowest voltage at the highest frequency while staying under a certain temp and stable?

It depends on how far you want to push it if you even need to touch any voltage. I would begin at setting the BCLK from 133 to 145 with no other adjustments at all and test stability. Well except you may want to disable Turbo Boost and C1E and SpeedStep during your testing.
