Hi! This is my first post and wanted to share my good news.
The last system I overclocked was a Celeron A 300mhz -> 450mhz. I was always proud of that system, but when it started getting old, I replaced it with a Athlon Thunderbird 1400mhz.
My overclocking fun pretty much ended there since my cpu did not want to cooperate. Even with my JET ENGINE (Thermalright SK6 with a 60mm Delta fan running at a ear splitting 6000rpms), 1450mhz was my limit for stability.
I finally upgraded again using a AMD Mobile XP-M 2400+, Thermaltake Silent Boost HS/Fan, and a Shuttle AK35N Ultra motherboard. Still using my old Crucial PC2100 ram (512 + 256), but I am running it as 166mhz for now with no signs of instability as of yet.
Current settings are 166fsb and the cpu is currently running at 2250mhz at 1.6volts (13x multiplier). I am still testing the system at this speed, but everything has been smooth so far.
Any advice on what voltage will be required to get a stable system running 2400mhz or so since that is my goal.
Thanks!
