Overclocking an E2160 - Pad or Bsel mod

I'm not having any luck with the Bsel mod on my Dell 530 (Foxconn mobo DG3303). Are any of you guys running folders that used either of those mods?
 
I have 4 systems that have the BSEL pad mod. It might be harder in a dell since it might not allow the 200mhz cpu to boot at 266. Also make sure to disable C1E and Intel Speedstep in the Bios.



 
I pad modded both my Q6600s to 333FSB using a 5 year old, half ruined, conductive pen from Microcenter. Worked great. Have you tried aging? ;)

A conductive ink pen. Says Circuit Writer on it.

None of the traces I've tried have worked. It boots up to the stock speed regardless. As for C1E and Speedstep, I'll be sure to check on those, thanks.

A Year Old conductive ink pen :)

 
Different pads for the Q6600, but same principal.
Is an easy mod, but you need to make sure you actually go part way over the pads to ensure a connection. Let it dry for an hour or two before putting it back on the mobo. The traces don't seem to work while still wet.
 
I gave it 10 minutes, per the instructions. I'm just going to rip that thing back out and have another go at it.
 
I used the rear window defogger fix kit to do the pad mod and a little tool i got with a cd rom that u can use to manually pop the cd tray out with and it worked perfectly. i used electric tape to tape the pads around it off and then used a straight razor to very carefully scrape off any excess. then used alcohol to clean all the pads after taking the tape off and used compressed air to dry the alcohol and the new circuit.


 
I used a broken toothpick and a 5yo Circuit Writer.

I did drink a few fingers of scotch while waiting for it to dry...does that count?
