Well I just RMAed a video card cause it was artifacting like crazy in all of my computers (I tested it to make sure it wasnt just my one comp giving it problems). So I put in a 6600GT video card in to hold me over while I wait for my new one. After I put in the 6600GT it was working fine, but after a while I noticed somtimes counterstrike source would artifact (unless my eyes are totally playing tricks on me) and sometimes the game would just crash after 10 secconds of play and I would have to restart and try again. It did that twice then I restarted my comp and it worked fine after that. So at one point the artifacting got bad to the point where I actually could tell FOR SURE it was artifacting, and it only seemed to happen when I brought up the multiplayer scores in CS:S (the menu to see everyones scores and ping). Some people reccomended I clean the old drivers out with driver cleaner, so I did and after I did a fresh install of the Nvidia display drivers, all seemed well. But after a few days, CS:S source crashed on me a few times. Also in world of warcraft, when I was moving the camera to see something, I think I saw some artifacting, just once and thats the only other game that did it. I turned down the overclock after reading a review saying that the AGP lock doesnt totally work on the AV8 boards. I turned it back to stock to see what it would do and I havent had a problem yet... but it only has been one day since I changed it. I also have heard of some problems with the source engine and nvidia cards, such as stutters and crashes. Is this just a huge coincidence or do you think it was all happening cause of the overclock? Is there a way I could test this to make sure there is nothing wrong with my computer?
