After looking at some of the Crysis screenshots and reading some opinions of beta players I'm feeling the need to overclock my E6750 from the standard 2.6GHZ to 3.0GHZ.

I've read of people reaching 4.0GHZ which is great but I don't have the cooling for settings that high.

Can anyone reccomend a good Gigabyte P35+E6750 overclocking guide?

This is my first OC so be gentle :p

Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3R - No one here is going to let you overclock from within Windows.

Read the overclocking guide sticky. It should be quite comprehensive. I've never read it... never had to.

In short, press Ctrl+F1 at BIOS main menu.

Enter the MIT
Leave PCIe frequency @ 100
Set timings to Manual (not by SPD)
5-5-5-18
Set voltage adjustment to manual
Manually set RAM and VCore values to stock (1.8v, more if you need it, and 1.325v core)
Set memory multiplier (2x, 2.5x, 3.33x, 4x) to lowest value possible.
Set CPU ratio to 6, 7, or 8. Go lower if you want to test for max FSB.
Raise FSB a reasonable amount. Like 400 x8. Save, enter windows, stress test.

Repeat until stability issues occur.

etc.

That's the gist of it. I could get into more detail, but the guide should do that for me.
