Overclocking a DELL lappy ! need PLL type pls.

I have a DELL INSPIRON 4100 , PIII 1000 Mhz, GF2GO 32 MB , 768 MB RAM etc , using I8kfanGUI for fan controll so it can run all day long at 100 % cpu util. and still the cpu temp remains under 45*C ( aprox. 108 *F ) , at normal use it never goes over 38 so i would like to try and se how far it would overclock but i dont know what PLL it uses , so if anyone knows please let me know .

P.S.
Before anyone starts that " you shouldnt overclock a laptop" chat , pls spare me , i own an internet caffe , gaming caffe , computer shop , computer service , i install alarm systems etc etc , so i dont need that , i just dont want to open the laptop to look at the PLL .
 
isnt a p3 @ 1 ghtz just about already at the architectures limit?
 
I dont think so , i have a toshiba @ 1066 but changing the cpu just doesent pay off for 66 Mhz , and it realy makes no big difference even if i hit 1200 , just wanted to see how far can it go .

As for PLL, I'm not sure if someone here will just know, I think your best bet is tearing that sucker open and finding it...

A program called CPUMSR has been known to overclock laptops via software. My friends use it to underclock during the day at school, saves battery. Then after school when gaming they overclock and run off the power outlet.
 
This program is for those who have laptops with mobile processors.

I suggest that you try SpeedswitchXP V1.4 this is freeware at MajorGeeks in their processor section I use it on my HP Pavilion zt3280us centrino laptop the settings can be changed any time you want to change them.

Going to change the procesor while at it , now just need some 3 hours time !
