How high could an AMD 3000+ be overclocked to? Im going to have about 3 fans for cooling.

I dont really know much about overclocking.

Im just asking because I am building a PC and would like to know if I should buy that or the 3200+ (I believe they have it out) if I cant OC the 3000+ higher than the 3200+.

Thanks!

I have my AMD 3000+ at 193.3x13.0=2512.8mhz

runs at 46c idle and 51c load

mine is hardlocked so i coulnt do much about it.

the 3000+ 400mhz version is supposed to OC like crazy..think of it as a more expensive 2500+ LOL

Is there a utility that will tell you the full CPU information? I downloaded the CPUID.EXE utility from AMD but that does not tell me the entire OPN number. You know the whole :

AXDA 3000 DKV3D

I know, I know.. I could simply pull the CPU out of the socket and read what is on it. Is there a utility that will give you all of this information.

As Visable pointed out, there is a 333 and 400 Mhz version of the XP 3000+ CPU. I would like to know which one I have without having to uninstall my Zalman CNPS7000A-Cu HSF.

Also, how does one know if his CPU is locked or not?
